What is a notifiable incident?

  • concerns about the safety of a child or vulnerable person

  • disclosure of abuse

  • serious injury of a person- including immediate treatment as a hospital in-patient or if the person should have been admitted, but treatment wasn’t available or sought

  • death of a person

  • an infection caused by something at Church

  • dangerous incident- where someone could have been killed or seriously harmed

  • violent incidents- exposing a person to a serious risk of psychological harm

  • suicide or attempted suicide

  • sexual assault 

  • physical assault

  • or concerns where abuse or assault might take place due to a threat

 

Incidents should be notified within 24 hours to your department leader, or if unavailable, our Safe Ministry Team
